Antoine Saout is a French poker player, which plays at a professional level. Born in 1984, Saout spent his childhood in the Morlaix town, in France. A lot of people believe that in order to be a very good poker player you need to be taught from an early age, so coming from a town where poker is loved is a definite bonus. Saout proves this theory wrong, as he got started with poker much later in life.
Thanks to his love of math, he was able to use it to become good at poker, even though he started playing it quite late in life. Since this game made him apply himself and his mind more, he took an interest in it and he became good at it. He tried playing in local tournaments, winning a couple of them. In time he became well known and he tried his skills with bigger tournaments and bigger stakes.
He then got started with online poker, making a name for himself there as well. Even though he was young, people took him seriously, because he had achieved quite a bit in a short amount of time. When he turned pro, he started making a lot of money, by taking part in poker events from all over the world.
In 2008, Antoine took part in the WSOP (World Series of Poker), managing to get to the final table. He finished 3rd there, taking home a prize of $3,479,670. Saout managed to make over $20 million so far during his career, even though he’s only 27 years old.
The first major victory of his was in Europe, at the Marbella tournament, where he got to the final table, then he won it. He took home a lot of money and the respect of the other players. He is popular among many fans of this game.
